With a very sad heart…

I am heartbroken over the tragedy that occurred at the Boston Marathon yesterday.  The United States of America is my home and all of its inhabitants are my family.  When something happens to one of my family it happens to me.  My prayers are with the victims and their families.  Make no mistake, the perpetrators will be caught and justly punished.

  4. I was so inspired reading about the acts of kindness that sprung from this. Some of the runners in yesterday’s marathon kept running…all the way to Massachusetts General Hospital so they could donate blood. There were so many donors that Mass General and the Red Cross put out a statement last night that they now have enough blood to meet demand thanks to those donors. THAT is why I will never lose faith in humanity…

    1. It IS inspiring to hear about all the good good people who just do what they need to do. I totally agree . . . I will never lose faith in humanity, either.

  5. I could hardly believe the reports Beth, I add my sincere condolences and prayers to yours... It’s a positively horrendous act and the cowards who do things like this set them up and walk away, … why for goodness sake?.. what good does it do?… AS a protest it’s sickening and doesn’t work, as a means to an end? How can it be justified?… I just can’t get my mind round it… So much violence…
Luv 'n hugs my friend. xPenx

  13. Beth this has touched me personally. Arlene's daughters grew up with the third victim. The family still lives right around the corner from us. She married the son of a guy I lived next door to. This has just made me more sad and angry.
The young lady lived in the neighboring town of Arlington and was a mmanager of a local restaurant on Massachusetts Avenue in Arlington which runs into town and intersects Boylston St. the site of the bombing.
