Just look…

at the size of those pancakes.

002

and this 1/2 serving of the breakfast skillet…

001

and a real cup off coffee (decaf) with Irish creamer…

003

My daughter and I stopped by Wild Berries to eat after my doctor appointment yesterday.  They are known for their gigantic proportions.  I had coffee which I lightened with Irish creamer.  I don’t drink coffee as it is a no no for me per my doctors.  In fact I rarely drink anything with caffeine in it.  I enjoyed the coffee more than the food.

It is a dreary day at 60 degrees right now.  We have more rain on the way and a cold front to go through tomorrow evening.

Have a great day.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  2. I can see where a diet would be in trouble there. Hope all went well at the doctors. Raining here and there is a small lake in the side yard.

Oh man I think I would die with out coffee. With this diet that is my only treat each day. NOW it has to be black but heck I'll take what I can get :)

  5. What an amazing breakfast! I drink a cup of coffee a day usually but that's it for my caffeine these days. It's a nasty 17 degrees here but it's supposed to jump to the fifties tomorrow...I sure hope it does!

  9. Your big breakfast looks good but having a big breakfast they say is what one should eat from so called night fast..

    Breakfast says Fast.

My neighbor brought to us syrup he made for our pancakes on a sunday.

He let the trees drip and then he and wife boiled it up. I bet that will taste yummier.

  11. Hi Beth,

It is cold and dreary again here today. I hope it turns warmer again soon, as it really does seem to affect me at the moment.

  14. The good thing about large portions is that I take most of the food home with me and it gives me two more meals.

  17. I have to watch my caffeine also but still enjoy a cup of hot tea almost daily. I've cut all iced tea and soda out and really enjoy just drinking ice water. I need to wash curtains also. I haven't done them in quite a LONG time. You are inspiring me to maybe get to them soon! :)

  19. Hi Beth, great post...and those photos! I don't drink coffee much, but I do have some fresh coffee (ground) in my fridge for the times I want to made a cup. I also love cream in my coffee as well, my favourite is hazelnut cream. I am more of a tea drinker. I never have more than two cups of caffeinated coffee or tea per day, and always only in the morning. I opt for herbal tea in the evenings, naturally no caffeine in it. That is one fantastic meal here, so glad you enjoyed it and the coffee.

  24. Pancakes. A vey big favorite of mine. Then there's coffee. I've always liked it but in the last few years I have become completely infatuated with it. In fact I think I'll go brew a pot a soon as I finish here.
